Learn cutlass fighting live-stream
Come and learn to fence with a cutlass or sabre!
This workshop will teach the essentials of late 19th century British broadsword fencing, techniques that can be used with cutlass, sabre, single stick or even the humble walking cane. The system presented in this workshop is based on the works of Alfred Hutton, R. G. Allanson-Winn, John Musgrave-Waite, Jules Jacob and military or sporting manuals from the high Victorian era.
The workshop will cover:
- How to grip the weapon
- Forming the medium guard
- How to limber the wrist with using the moulinet
- Basic cuts 1-7
- Cutting on the lunge
- The parries of tierce
- The parries or quarte
